I might be biased because I have a character in the lovely Ministry, but if the Death Eater vs. Dumbledore's Army thing is just a little bit overdone, then I'd suggest the Ministry of Magic being the prime villain? There's no reason that the Death Eaters and Ministry couldn't be besties and unit as one, though! They do so very well as shown in the cute little books. I just really love corrupted government for some reason. <3

I love one of Maritha's ideas in particular! I love the idea of some other non-Quidditch games/sports! They could be very unique to IQ. Either sports that actually did exist in wizarding history or completely non-canon sports that have magical-ness in them. I'm sure we'd be able to get some great ideas on how to conduct them, and they might even work a little better than Quidditch in an "all-roleplay" sort of game that requires no coding. I don't know! Perhaps it's worth a try?

I love also Maritha's extra curricular activity idea! It might give IQ's Hogwarts a more "teenagery" feel if we had stuff like the Wizard's Chess Club (which would probably be the
equivalent of Chess Club in real life schools and member students that can be "less popular" together). It probably wouldn't be ideal for characters to be defined by their groups and clubs they are associated with, but it would definitely be interesting to me. :)

This is just alittle thing, but I was wondering if the House tables in the Great Hall would be opened, anytime soon? I have something I've been wanting to do, but I've been waiting for that.

I would put it in the Hogwarts forum and a mod will move it when those forums are opened. There's no reason to postpone a roleplay because of a little locked symbol. :)

Lavinia, Great Hall table forums are open now. Also, in the future, it sometimes speeds up the process if I am owled directly since I don't always check all threads. :)

Forgive me if this has already been suggested, but I was thinking we could do one of those mysteries we used to have? I vaguely remember one being in the works, but I could be mistaken.

Also, I definitely support having the arcade back again. It was such great fun. Oh yes, and Quidditch! <3

Hmm. I can't really think of much else, but I promise I'll edit this post if I think of something.

don't worry i remember those mysteries too. didn't we also have some event going on at one stage when there was a curse going around? Would it be possible to start that up again?

I love quidditch. Trust me, I have absolutely nothing against quidditch, but (it may just be me) some people, who can not get up at three o' clock in the morning, not having a chance to try out seems a little unfair. Inspired Quills is an international site and I really believe that a lot of people not living in the Greenwich time field will have a hard time trying out.

Um, that above paragraph does not in any way mean, 'Let's take quidditch away because people living in a not European time are having a hard time waking up in the morning' at all. But rather, there shouldn't be too much of a time gap? Or more than an hour or two to write an RP. Or even a timed RP writing, like say, the clock starts from the minute you start writing.

I apologize if this is way too much to handle and I know this is just over the board for an idea and I'm probably exaggerating the problem. I totally understand if you're all standing there saying, 'What the hell is that boy talking about? There's nothing wrong with the time.' And I also know that this is way too much for just me ranting on and on but I would really like it if someone would read this and maybe possibly think about it.

Also I thought as one of the extracurricular activities dueling would be nice? It would definitely enhance the already going rivel between houses. (You all suck Gryffindors!)

Oh and one more thing (Don't worry, I'm almost done... >.<), rather than a limitation like Analisha said, I think the rules about the minimum length should be changed. It really sucks trying to make up random things to happen, just to fill the length quota. But, this might just be me since everyone here are awesome writers...

Right, I'm done... So sorry for my rant up above and belated Happy New Year's everyone!

Alright. So I wanted to acknowledge people's suggestions (finally, sorry) and also say - Your suggestions are still very welcome! :D

Quidditch - So we know that people liked Quidditch, obviously. However, it is my fear that we don't have enough people in each house around at the moment who can truly commit to playing a full Quidditch game as it was before on the site. And, honestly, that's an awful lot of coding to put into something that might not even be able to get running without those people. Here is my suggestion to those of you who are interested in bringing Quidditch back: If you commit to showing your interest in playing the game, not just telling us you want it, then we will get working on coding it and bringing it back to the site. How can you show us? Even though it's not the same, create a roleplayed pick-up game in the forums and play. Go to the plot pages and form two teams and get a game going. Each team could only have 3-4 actual rpers on it and the rest of the team can be non-played characters, just to get the ball rolling. The more interest you create, the bigger the next pick-up game can be. I'll even give you randomized actions for you to include in your game, if you like. But that is the commitment that the team needs from all of you who are interested in Quidditch. I think that's fair, no?

Plot - We have a plot in mind for the site, we really do. Perhaps we need to reassess that plot, we certainly need to get it active. It will be discussed.

IRC - Velimir and I are in the IRC whenever we're online (and we're even there sometimes when we're not actually online >.>) and I know that some of you have been trickling in and out. Please feel free to drop by any time!

Roleplay contests - Get active doing some normal roleplaying on your own and I promise we'll get another roleplay contest going.

Games (the arcade) - I remember the arcade and I really liked Sudoku myself. I play it all the time on my phone, actually. We will look into bringing the arcade back.

Trades - I know we previously had a pretty extensive trade system up on the site. In the meantime, feel free to trade the old way at the Items and Trades forum - http://inspired-quills.com/viewforum.php?f=56

Wizard Tournament - The tournaments take an extensive amount of planning and coding, so while this is certainly something that we will bring back eventually, it's not at the top of the list currently.

Transfiguration - Yes, Transfiguration was a neat feature on the site. It will probably be brought back eventually.

Rare items - Got a rare item suggestion? http://inspired-quills.com/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=446 Most of our rare items came from academic prizes at the end of the term. Want to help us get to the end of the term? You can start by helping to write lessons - viewtopic.php?f=4&t=467

DE/DA - This feature is back in place! :D I'm sure you all must've noticed. :P Of course, it's now DE/OotP. We changed it to the Order to include adult characters. Choose your side and have fun! :D

Other character-made groups - Have a specific club you'd like to create? Owl an admin with the details and we'll consider it.

Roleplay length - At this moment, I don't think that roleplays being too long is exactly an issue. :P As far as changing the minimum length of roleplays, that will never happen. The minimum is 5 sentences. If you can't form 5 sentences together to make a roleplay post, then honestly, it's time to consider a different hobby.

Mysteries - If anyone would be interested in writing their own mystery or if you just have a suggestion for a mystery topic, feel free to owl an admin. I'm almost certain that someone is working on one already but we can always use new ideas for them if people are interested.

Duelling - If you're interested in duelling, then I would suggest hopping over to the Plot Pages forum and getting a duelling partner. :D

I think I've covered everything, if not, feel free to point out anything you wish to be addressed or comment on or bring up new topics. :D
